About The Jeep Wagoneer S
The Wagoneer S is the first all-electric model from Jeep (in North America). Following the runaway success of the plug-in hybrid 4xe models, the Wagoneer S takes electrification that much further. The electric drivetrain packs some serious power, both on the road and off. The interior is spacious and comfortable, but also exceptionally well-appointed, with a seriously impressive list of standard equipment. Advanced technology is baked into every nook and cranny of the Wagoneer S, from the electric drivetrain to the audiophile-grade stereo and the numerous driver aids that help to keep you safe. The Wagoneer S is everything you’ve always loved about Jeep vehicles, but with a new and highly capable form of propulsion.
What the Critics Say
“Just tap the selector, mash the right hinge and hold on tight as the big EV lights a brief four-tire fire before catapulting itself at the horizon—a somewhat uncharacteristically dramatic display for such an otherwise buttoned up machine.” - The Drive
“There’s a side of this celebrated marque that leans strongly toward luxury while still retaining some off-road chops. The Wagoneer S is a product of that leaning, with an equipment list in the Launch Edition that’s long and comprehensive.” - Kelley Blue Book
What’s New for 2025
The Wagoneer S just launched late last year, so there is only one change for 2025, a new trim level. The new Limited trim is slightly less powerful than the Launch Edition, although the 500-horsepower output is still more than enough to deliver some serious performance. The Limited also comes with a lower price tag, which certainly adds to the appeal.
Jeep Wagoneer S Features
Serious Capability
The Wagoneer S is Jeep’s first all-electric model, and the most powerful model in the current lineup, producing more power than even the Wrangler Rubicon 392. The drivetrain comes with two electric motors driving all four wheels, producing a system total of 500 horsepower and 524 lb-ft of torque. That's enough for an incredible 0-60 time of just 4 seconds, but there’s an option for even more. Opt for the Launch Edition and power increases to 600 horsepower and 617 lb-ft of torque, and you can hit 60 mph in 3.4 seconds, an incredible time for a big, comfortable midsize SUV. The battery pack delivers 294 miles of range for both versions of the drivetrain, and you can recharge from 20 to 80 percent on a DC fast charger in just 23 minutes. There are multiple drive modes for when conditions change, allowing you to choose between Auto, Snow, Sand, and ECO modes.
Well-Appointed Interior
The Wagoneer S shares a name with the two biggest vehicles in the Jeep lineup, but it uses an entirely different platform and is actually about the same size as the Grand Cherokee. Where the Wagoneer part comes in is the level of luxury in this newest electric model. High-quality materials are used throughout, and features like heated front seats, a heated steering wheel, and a dual-pane panoramic sunroof all come standard. Uconnect® 5 with integrated navigation is also standard, and this leads us to a major strength of the Wagoneer S, its stereo. Most vehicles come with a generic stereo system, and an option to upgrade to a name-brand system tailored specifically to the vehicle in question. But a premium Alpine® 9-speaker system is standard on the Wagoneer, with the upgraded option being a McIntosh® 19-speaker system.
Cutting-Edge Technology
The Wagoneer S is built to deliver a familiar Jeep experience, and advanced technology is used to enhance the experience, rather than give you a different one entirely. So available equipment includes things like a head-up display, which puts all of the most important information right in front of you, where you don’t have to take your eyes off the road to look at your speed or navigation directions. More advanced systems focus on safety, with things like Traffic Sign Recognition, Active Lane Management, and Forward Collision Warning with Active Braking. Even low-speed dings and scratches can be avoided thanks to the available 360-degree camera or fully autonomous parking. Standard adaptive cruise control cuts down on fatigue during long road trips.
