About the Ram Heavy Duty

When only the best will suffice, the Ram 2500 and Ram 3500 range of heavy-duty pickups is the ultimate choice for those who need to get the job done. A legend both on and off the work site, the Ram Heavy Duty range is engineered to a higher standard than most thanks to a 98% high-strength steel frame for muscular performance and proven durability. Easily adaptable to all types of trades or occupations, buyers can choose from a total of three different cab options, two bed lengths, and both single and dual rear wheel configurations. Both gas and diesel engine choices are available, making it simple to prioritize power, efficiency, or even a blend of both. No matter if your truck is used as a base camp when exploring the great outdoors or as a mobile command center at work, the Ram Heavy Duty offers a versatile interior that ranges from durable and utilitarian to downright opulent based on the trim level you select. Revolutionary technology, groundbreaking driver assistance features, and a full catalog of upfitter accessories make the Ram 2500 and Ram 3500 the clear favorite in the heavy-duty truck segment.

What the Critics Say

“As you'd expect from a truck such as the Ram 2500, towing and hauling capability is massive. The available rear air suspension's exclusive kneeling function makes loading and trailer hookups easy. The Ram's maximum payload and towing capacities are impressive even among the admittedly strong competition.” - Edmunds

“Ram also managed to turn its heavy-duty pickup into a pretty, almost elegant machine. The 2500 boasts a better interior than its competition, too, with high-quality materials, clever and useful design, and a level of modern technology that leads the segment. Excellent ride quality and supreme interior comfort make the big Ram a great road trip companion, too, whether you have a 15,000-pound boat in tow or not.” - MotorTrend

What’s New For 2026

For 2026, buyers will have two new trim level choices on the impressive Ram 2500 range of heavy-duty pickup trucks. Making their debut are the value-oriented Black Express trim and the race-inspired Warlock trim levels, both of which are packed with plenty of exclusive features and equipment. With the exception of the two new trims, the Ram Heavy Duty lineup carries over essentially unaltered from last year’s extensively refreshed model.
