About the Jeep Wrangler 4xe

Unquestionably one of the most recognizable off-road vehicles in the industry, the Jeep Wrangler 4xe marks the start of a bright new chapter in the history of this legendary model. Embracing the advantages of electrification while retaining its go-anywhere performance capabilities results in something truly special with the Wrangler 4xe. This sophisticated powertrain features 375 combined system horsepower, 21 miles of range in all-electric mode, 370 miles of total driving range, and a combined 49 MPGe fuel economy rating – all of which comes in handy both on and off the trails. After all, less time and money spent at the gas station means more time for making memories with your loved ones. In true Wrangler fashion, every Wrangler 4xe is available with a nearly endless list of customization choices including bold exterior colors along with its iconic removable roof. Truly in a class all its own, the innovative Jeep Wrangler 4xe is engineered with clever technology and capable off-road features not found on the competition.

What the Critics Say

“The Wrangler's best potential fuel economy comes from the Wrangler 4xe. It has a turbocharged four-cylinder engine and plug-in hybrid componentry. That combination produces 375 horsepower plus about 22 miles of all-electric range on a full battery charge. Frequently recharging can really help save on gas.” – Edmunds

“In the ways that count, the 4xe goes toe-to-toe with the regular Wrangler (or any other trail-ready SUV). It remains a fearsome off-roading machine, and the electric torque provides some welcome grunt. On the road, we found that the extra weight from the batteries lowers the center of gravity and makes the 4xe more stable than the conventional Wrangler.” – Motortrend

What’s New For 2025

Several exciting changes have been made to the dynamic Jeep Wrangler 4xe for the 2025 model year. All trims now come standard with power-adjustable exterior mirrors and power door locks as standard features. There’s also a new Active Cabin Ventilation remote climate control start function that’s been added to select trims. Finally, buyers can now opt for an all-new Willys ‘41 variant that features military-inspired design cues on both the interior and exterior.

Jeep Wrangler 4xe Features

Jeep Wrangler 4xe Performance

Electrified Performance

Marking the beginning of a new era of off-road performance from Jeep, the innovative Wrangler 4xe retains all of the signature attributes that have made this model a hit with buyers across the world. Equipped with a state-of-the-art plug-in hybrid powertrain, the Wrangler 4xe provides remarkable efficiency along with responsive low-end torque that’s able to help you maintain control of the situation on the trails. It’s comprised of a 2.0L I4 DOHC DI Turbo PHEV engine that cranks out an impressive 375 combined system horsepower and 475 lb-ft of torque, plenty for whatever you’ll encounter in the backcountry. Locking front and rear differentials are yet another standout feature of the Wrangler 4xe. Based on the conditions, drivers can toggle between Electric, Hybrid, and eSave modes. In the default Hybrid mode, both the engine and electric motor work in tandem to deliver maximum power. Electric mode is where you can unleash up to 21 miles of pure electric driving with zero tailpipe emissions. You can also opt for eSave mode to store electric power for later use.
